Nova "Engineering Ground Zero" (Proposal)
This is a compilation of shots from a proposal for a NOVA documentary on the construction of the Freedom Tower, that eventually aired on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. Our intention was to simulate a practical environment - real architectural models in a real studio environment. Hand-held cameras, imperfect lighting, core samples of Ground Zero dirt. Then, once disbelief was suspended, the CG trickery would ensue. We didn't land the job, but we did expand our lighting, 32bit linear workflow, and photreal rendering abilities. Here's the show that aired: http://video.pbs.org/video/2119539367/
